Men only gyms?

Testosterone-laden hub or chicks-in-sweaty-clothing heaven?

I have recently joined a men only gym, after reading good reviews about it, but mostly also because it's less than 5mins away from home on foot. The reality is this: you get to see the really huge guys doing some serious lifting, and that for some is motivating. For some it can be scary - at first sight.

I am no pro bodybuilder - more so a skinny guy who developed a liking for food, stopped exercising, and grew a beer belly. I know. It looks horrible. But i used to do a hell lot of sport before so pain for me is not something unknown. When i used to train, I always felt better when training with people who are better than me, but at the same time are not patronizing me or making me feel inadequate. On the contrary, the motivation they gave me was invaluable and only they could push me to the limits of pain.

Now my question is this: It is a proven act that testosterone helps in building muscle. It is also a proven fact that testosterone levels increase with the mere sight of an attractive woman (in case of straight men). Does this physiologically mean that training in a men only gym will limit this 'manna from heaven' and free anabolic steroid boost?
